Synopsis:
Sophie Banks had it all. Until…
Poised to be the next CEO of the Fortune 500 company New Atlantic, Sophie Banks’ life takes a hard right turn when she inadvertently posts an embarrassing, possibly career-ending, TikTok video. With her job in limbo, her former college roommates, Emily, and native Italian Frankie have the answer to all her problems –– ROAD TRIP!
No ordinary road trip, Frankie’s girlfriend, Alessandra, has signed them up for an exclusive touring race featuring vintage automobiles – the Coppa della Perugina – in Perugia, Italy. The trip starts down a rocky road when Sophie lays eyes on their ride – Alessandra’s prized 1967 Simca – a far cry from the Jaguars, Porsches, and Ferraris in the brochure. At registration, Sophie’s mood improves when she is charmed by the handsome Vinny. However, she downplays her attraction after learning he’s Coppa’s tow truck driver – a “Philistine.”
Back at New Atlantic, Sophie’s boss devises a plan to put her back in favor with the board. With the Perugina Company teetering financially, if Sophie can convince one of the leading shareholders to sell – giving New Atlantic a majority stake in the company – Sophie’s path to CEO will be secured.
As Team Simca races through the time trials putting them in a position to win a trophy, Sophie redirects her attention, leaving a path of frustration and destruction behind with her friends and her mother and sister, who have joined them in Perugia. Her flirtation with Vinny also takes on new meaning when she learns he’s the son of Vincenzo Moretti, Sr – the owner of the Perugina Company. It soon becomes apparent that Vinny and, more importantly, his shares stand in the way of her success.
With the fourth and final time trial in front of them, Sophie comes to a crossroads. Will she let her friends down in their quest for the trophy? Will she give up on love to realize her dream of becoming CEO? As she struggles with the age-old question, “At what price success?” Sophie Banks will have to decide how far she’ll go to follow a dream that is quickly becoming a nightmare.
