Script Excerpt:

dark screen.

voice-over:

there is a red faced moon in my dreams at night. and she weeps water on the land. and drowns anyone who dares speak in her presence.

and there’s a god who cloaks himself. in clouds. and rattles the dark fabric. sending droplets to the earth. stinging cheeks. wrapping around necks. not letting up. until all breath stops.

and there are gods fighting for night and day. and calm and wind. and dancing tornados. and whirlwinds. and hurricanes.

and there are storms hiding behind trees. blowing leaves silver. painting skies grey.

and a purple mist rolls over the land. dampening the earth with its sorrow.

and there’s a coyote who steals a bag of lightening. and when he opens it. he brings death.

slowly the sound of rain can be heard., and the dark fades into a thick rain.

camera tightens on the rain and then focuses on a figure kneeling in it. it is a man. and he is in the middle of a field. head down. with his hands over his face.

he is soaking wet.

it is night.

fade out.
